Ursa was born from a deep respect for this place. It's monsoon seasons, native ingredients, and the people who have called it home for generations. We offer a connection to heritage crops through a modern tasting menu, celebrating the abundance of the Sonoran desert by working alongside foragers, farmers, ranchers, and seed savers who continue to preserve our traditions.

Born of the desert

Chef Aaron Lopez draws inspiration from his family's journey from Matapé, Sonora to Arizona. By gathering, collecting, foraging, and preserving, he is reinterpreting the recipes and knowledge passed down from his grandfather. Every dish honors his family lineage and the traditions that have long defined life in the Sonoran desert.
